Sunday, September 6th , 2054
The Concord Cannons fell to the Ortonville Otters in Blues Ballpark today, even as 24-year-old center fielder Raúl Nevárez upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. Nevárez finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Cannons from dropping the 15-7 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Nevárez.
Raúl Nevárez walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th.

For the season Nevárez is currently batting .295 with 10 home runs and 66 RBIs. In 130 games he has reached base at a .383 rate and scored 72 runs to date.
