Watson Grabs SL1 Reliever of the Year Award

John Watson was a calming influence out of the Hamilton Beavers bullpen this season.
His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 26-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2054.
The Brooklyn, New York native won the award with 8 saves in 80 relief appearances, 113 strikeouts in 98.1 innings and a record of 7-0 to go with his 1.28 ERA.
He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 20. César Rojas of the Kutztown Kraken finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Eldon Morrison of the Hamilton Beavers finished third.
