Foster Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Monday, September 7th , 2054 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Lewis Foster did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Albertson Grounds today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old third baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Anaheim Hurricanes beat the Chapel Hill Coyotes 8-4 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Foster told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Anaheim clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Lewis Foster hit a solo-shot off Chad Young Jr. in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and doubled in the 7th. This season Foster has banged out 94 hits in 244 at-bats for a .385 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .458 pace and his totals also include 40 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
