Hocknell Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, September 12th , 2054 Nobody has been able to shut down Tucson Cowboys first baseman David Hocknell in recent days. The Batesville Bluebirds fared no better than the rest. Today at Ballpark of Spring Lake, Hocknell picked up 1 hit in 5 at-bats en route to a 5-3 Cowboys victory. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. David Hocknell singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This year Hocknell has hit at a .315 pace and produced 25 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 46 runs. |
