Burger Blisters Commack Sunday, August 2nd , 2054 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Hendri Burger of the Miami Hurricanes had one such moment at Ballpark of Durham today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Miami fell to a 13-8 defeat to the Commack Cougars. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 19-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Hendri Burger doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Marvin Gillispie in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th.
