Gálvez Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, August 5th , 2054 Pflugerville right fielder José Gálvez went down swinging at Ballpark of Arlington today, knocking out 5 hits even as his Bombers fell, 14-8. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Gálvez said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Boca Raton Bandits. "No offense meant to Boca Raton, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well." After the game, his manager elaborated on the right fielder's improvements, saying Gálvez spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Gálvez agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." José Gálvez hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Gálvez has delivered 13 hits in 37 at-bats for a .351 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .432 clip and his totals also include 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
