Capitols Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 3rd , 2054 Richmond Capitols shortstop Chet Stokes said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2054 postseason contention. Richmond last appeared in the postseason in 2051. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 46 times in their 66-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Capitols have missed the playoffs 8 times. Richmond last won the Round 2 in 2021. |
