Domingo German, the winning pitcher, improved to 8-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Cardinals improved to a lofty 30-12.
Alexander Ramirez, the 23-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ramirez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put St. Louis up, 4-0.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Ramirez told the St. Louis Daily News.
