Stephney Racks up 4 HR Against Sky Carp
Nothing could stop Zion Stephney today -- certainly not the Beloit Sky Carp pitching staff.

The 22-year-old right fielder for the West Michigan Whitecaps sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Harry C. Pohlman Field and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the Whitecaps took a 14-7 win over the Sky Carp.

"In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Sky Carp manager said later. "He clobbered us."

Stephney's dream game included 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 homers, 6 runs driven in and 4 runs scored.

"I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," Stephney told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys."

Zion Stephney hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Slate in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Slate in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Smith in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off David Buenrostro in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

So far this season Stephney is hitting .272 with 18 home runs, 46 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 65 hits in 239 at-bats and a .387 OBP.
