Cincinnati picked up a win at Johnny Bench Park, toppling the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-3. Pitcher Eury Perez was one of the reasons the Reds triumphed. Cincinnati now sits at 89-73, while Pittsburgh falls to 75-87.

The Pirates had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Reds going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the two-time All-Star Arturo Ramos came to the plate. Ramos hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 cutter from Pittsburgh hurler Randy Poffo. It was Ramos's 20th home run of the year.

"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Ramos told the Cincinnati Chronicle.
