Colorado got a valiant performance from pitcher Ed Ault, but it wasn't enough to beat the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee won the game, 5-4. Ault threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Milwaukee occupies 7th place in the National League West Division at 22-30.

Milwaukee won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and Cionel Perez on the mound for Colorado, center fielder Chris Posey hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Brewers fans to their feet.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Posey said.
