Jehle Stars in 6-3 Yankees Win
|
The timely hitting of Jon Jehle helped the New York Yankees down the Montreal Expos, 6-3. Jehle went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Yankees. The save went to Trevor Megill, his 6th this season. With the win, the Yankees have a record of 30-23.
New York center fielder Alan Parker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a sinker into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 56th hit of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 4-3.
Parker told a New York Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
