Montgomery Takes Round 1
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Montgomery Biscuits have edged the Mississippi Braves.

The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Round 1, with a 2-1 win in the clincher being the difference for Montgomery and giving them the ticket to the Round 2 with a 4-3 series triumph.

"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Jesus Nandin, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Nandin hit .310 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Montgomery Biscuits will play against the Rocket City Trash Pandas in the next round. Rocket City won their series against the Tennessee Smokies 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
