Nationals Even With Red Hawks After Home Win
|
The Washington Nationals and the Oklahoma City Red Hawks will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Nationals beat the Red Hawks 8-3 at Nationals Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Washington right fielder Pat Herring went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
Wes Kath, the Washington third baseman, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 4-0, Nationals. For the game, Kath went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kath.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nationals Park in Washington.
