5 Straight Wins for Twins
|
Minnesota picked up a win at Target Field, bumping off the New York Yankees, 3-1. Pitcher Shohei Ohtani was a major reason the Twins emerged victorious. Alexis Diaz collected save number 13. This win makes it 5 in a row for Minnesota.
The Twins got a big at-bat from first baseman Alfredo Correa. For the game, Correa went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Minnesota a 2-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Minnesota skipper Ryan Donaldson.
