Raucous Target Field Crowd Propels Twins to 3-0 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees will take the Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Twins shut out the Yankees 3-0 at Target Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Minnesota right-hander Tobias Myers did his part. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball.

In the bottom of the second, Minnesota second baseman Orelvis Martinez had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and no one out, Martinez stroked a 2-run home run to left-center. It made the score 2-0, Minnesota. For the game, he was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Martinez said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Target Field in Minneapolis.
