Almost There: Colorado On Cusp of LCS Triumph After 2-1 Win
The Colorado Rockies went into extra innings against the Cincinnati Reds but ultimately moved to within one game of the World Series today. The Rockies downed the Reds at Johnny Bench Park by a score of 2-1. Colorado right-hander Grayson Rodriguez had a solid outing. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Rockies a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Championship Series.

Colorado used the clutch hitting of Alex Stroud to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Rockies the lead, 2-1. For the game, Stroud had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Big win," said Stroud.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Johnny Bench Park in Cincinnati.
