The New York Mets dumped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-1, in large part due to right fielder Cayden Wallace. On the day, Wallace went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mets. New York reliever Calvin Ziegler picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Randy Poffo was saddled with the loss. Their 37-39 record puts the Mets 5th in the National League East Division.
