Angel Stadium of Anaheim was the site for National League action featuring the Los Angeles Angels and Colorado Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Angels, 8-3, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Julio Rodriguez, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Cionel Perez, now 7-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.

Colorado used a well-timed hit by Jack Suwinski to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rockies ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Suwinski told a Colorado Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The Rockies, now 64-39, have won 4 in a row.
