Seattle Beats St. Louis, 6-2
|
The St. Louis Cardinals and Seattle Mariners were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Seattle beat St. Louis on the strength of starter David Leal's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. Earning the save was Emmanuel Clase. He's now cashed in 4 of 4 save opportunities.
Druw Jones, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jones contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 5-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Jones.
With the win, Seattle pushed its record to 65-55.
