Orioles Stay Hot, Beat Expos, 8-3
|
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Frank Robinson Stadium, taking down the Montreal Expos, 8-3. Starting pitcher Andrew Painter was a big reason why. Painter picked up the win for Baltimore, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-13. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Baltimore.
The Orioles got a big at-bat from left fielder Riley Greene. For the game, Greene went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 32nd double of the season gave Baltimore a 3-0 lead.
"I still think this team can play even better," Greene told the Baltimore Observer.
