Nationals Take Down Pirates, 6-5
The Washington Nationals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-5, at Nationals Park. Michael Siani, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. The win belongs to Rafael Montero in relief. His record improves to 3-1. David Bednar took the loss for Pittsburgh. Washington now has a record of 68-61 with the win.

Bobby Witt Jr. was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Witt Jr., "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
