Rodriguez Slugs Reds to 9-6 Win
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 9-6, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Endy Rodriguez. Rodriguez slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4 for the Reds. Jason Foley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The save went to Adbert Alzolay, his 5th this season.

Rodriguez had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Hunter Greene, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Reds a 8-6 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Rodriguez.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Rodriguez.

The Pirates fall to 4-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2026 season.
