Rangers Absorb 7-1 Loss at T-Mobile Park
Seattle center fielder Druw Jones helped his team beat the Texas Rangers, 7-1. Jones, who is tied for 6th in the AL with a .674 slugging percentage, went 3 for 4 for the Mariners. Seattle reliever Landon Knack picked up the win to move to 1-0. Christian Scott suffered the loss. The Mariners, with just their 5th win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.

Adael Amador dealt the Rangers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Seattle leading 2-1, Amador, who finished 5th in the AL in triples with 7 in 2025, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We'll build on this win," said Jones.
