New York pitcher Alex Santos II did his part in helping his team beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Santos II picked up the win for New York, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. New York, now 16-10, has gotten their season off to a good start.

New York used the bat of Tyler Gentry to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
