6-for-6 Day for Woodward Saturday, July 3rd , 2027 It was a high-five day for Ken Woodward, at least for a while. The Aurora catcher got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Sewaren Lakers, but they were in short supply at the end, as Sewaren took a 12-11 win. Woodward finished with an impressive 6-for-6 line, but the Airhogs couldn't hold off the Lakers. "Ken was hitting everything," said Airhogs manager . "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Ken Woodward hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. This year Woodward has collected a .423 batting average to date with 30 hits in 71 at-bats, 22 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 15 times. He has played in 19 games. View Boxscore |
