Hits Galore: Medley Drills 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Joe Medley, it came around today.

The 22-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Baseball City Complex to pace the 15-10 New York A (DSL) Yankees victory over the Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays.

Toronto (DSL) skipper Julio Reyes told reporters in the press room that "Medley deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Medley hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Joe Medley singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Medley is hitting .469 this year with 5 home runs and 42 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .505, 14 walks and scored 63 times.
