Hawks Advance to Regionals
The joy and relief on the faces of the Hanover Hawks players was obvious as they celebrated their Wildcard Series win over the Puyallup Vikings.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Hanover center fielder Bobby Ashbaugh, shortly after the 8-7 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the Regionals.

Ashbaugh won series MVP honors on the strength of his .500 batting average during the series. He also had a .556 on-base percentage and 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Hanover Hawks will play against the Bainbridge Spartans in the next round. Bainbridge won their series against the Malvern Prep Friars 2 games to 0. The Regionals schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
