UC Santa Barbara Wins Regionals
The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos are off to the Super Regionals after an exciting Regionals triumph.

UC Santa Barbara downed the UC Irvine Anteaters, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-2 win tonight at Field wrapping up the series 2-1.

"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Mike Siekiera, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.

Siekiera put up a .500 with a .500 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 runs himself.

The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos will play against the Murray State Racers in the next round. Murray State won their series against the Youngstown State Penguins 2 games to 0. The Super Regionals schedule will be announced after the Regionals finishes.
