Mack Smacks 5 Hits for Nationals Sunday, May 7th, 2028 It was high-fives all around for Jim Mack at Sacramento HS Grounds today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Sacramento HS Headhunters. Mack smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 23-11 win. "Jim was hitting everything," said Nationals manager Luis Mendoza. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Headhunters manager Bobby Hampton told BNN beat writers that Mack "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Mack oversleeps next time." Jim Mack singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Mack is batting .384 with 56 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 42 times and has batted in 21 runs. |
