Fortenberry Batters Florida for 5 Hits Sunday, August 9th , 2043 Eric Fortenberry did more than his part as the Tampa Tarpons topped the Florida Fire Frogs today at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The Tarpons left fielder pounded out 5 hits to pace his team to a 14-11 thumping of the Fire Frogs. Eric Fortenberry singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. Presently Fortenberry is batting .345 with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. He has played in 38 games and scored 27 times. |
