Vigilantes Drop Bears, 4-3
|
It was pandemonium at Justice Field after an exciting walk-off win.
The Windsor Vigilantes beat the Traverse City Bears, 4-3. Windsor pitcher and Alliance, Ohio, native Jason Sweeney led the way. Clyde McGrath got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings.
Christophe Legros contributed to the Vigilantes cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, giving Windsor the lead.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Legros said.
Windsor, with the win, climbs to 7-29.
