The Thunder Bay Caribou had to overcome a good performance from Owen Sound pitcher Jesse Howard to claim a 3-2 win at Caribou Field. Howard went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The Caribou, now 10-4, have been on fire in the early going.

Dave Norman was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Caribou second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Norman said.
