Eagles Top Bears, 4-3
|
The Den was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Milwaukee Eagles and Traverse City Bears.
The Milwaukee Eagles wiggled past the Traverse City Bears, 4-3, at The Den. The win was highlighted by the performance of Milwaukee left fielder David MacTary. Milwaukee reliever Steffen Brooks was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Ben Lee.
MacTary had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 slider from Kyle Bowles, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Eagles a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for MacTary.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," MacTary told the Milwaukee Herald.
The loss has the Bears at 5-10.
