Eagles Score Late, Topple Comets, 9-7
|
Kingston center fielder Esteban Chapa was sensational. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Milwaukee beat the Comets, 9-7. Michael Bergeron notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. The win puts Milwaukee at 11-7.
Milwaukee used a clutch hit from Seung-jun Park to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eagles ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Park said after the game.
