Caribou Collect 6-5 Win Over Mounties
Thunder Bay second baseman Gustavo Gómez made his presence felt in the 6-5 Caribou triumph over the Hamilton Mounties. Gómez was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Al Pellerin snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 2-0 on the season. Thunder Bay, now 13-8, has played well in the early going.

The Caribou procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Romain Lemaire. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Lemaire.
