Luzón Helps Thunder Bay Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The 10-3 Thunder Bay win over Kingston was due in large part to José Luzón. The Caribou third baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The loss makes Kingston 1-2.
Thunder Bay shortstop John Calder contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Caribou ahead, 2-0.
In postgame comments to the Thunder Bay Daily News, Calder said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
