Caribou Earn 7-6 Win Versus Bears
|
Behind a fine performance from John McIlmoyle, the Thunder Bay Caribou knocked off the Traverse City Bears, 7-6. McIlmoyle went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Caribou. The win belongs to Mark Sabine in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Carlos Arévalo took the loss for Traverse City. The Caribou have an impressive 24-14 record.
The Caribou procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Lee Sharpe. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place was electric at the end," McIlmoyle said.
