Toronto Maples starter Steffen Brooks turned in a sterling performance against the Kingston Comets, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. Brooks went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-16. Hervé Smart earned his 5th save in 6 chances.

Gerald Powers drove in one run against the Comets. In the bottom of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Toronto in front, 1-0.

Powers called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."

The Maples improved to 68-76.
