Noseworthy Blasts Bears, Architects Take Game 5, 8-3
|
The Chicago Architects have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Traverse City Bears, winning, 8-3, at The Den. Architects third baseman Kent Noseworthy went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Architects to 3-2 in the best-of-7 League Championship.
Ottawa, Canada native Kent Noseworthy had a clutch at-bat in the top of the sixth for the Architects. With Chicago trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Noseworthy told the Chicago Herald.
Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Pier IV Grounds in Chicago.
