Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Architects
|
Pier IV Grounds played host to some high drama.
The Chicago Architects knocked off the Duluth Sea Gulls, 7-5, at Pier IV Grounds. Kent Noseworthy was a big reason Chicago won. The third baseman went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win went to Terry Noble in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bruce Peraca took the loss.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With no one out, Noseworthy hit a fastball from Bruce Peraca for a 2-run home run. The Architects, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Duluth manager G Maloney.
The slumping Sea Gulls have dropped 7 in a row.
