The Toronto Maples faced a tough opponent in Hamilton pitcher Carlos Pérez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ontario Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Pérez went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Toronto reliever Harry Gilroy, now 2-1. The loser was Tony Wilbraham. Toronto raised its record to 36-30 with the win.

Kelly Kennealy was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Maples catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
