Comets Earn 4-3 Win Versus Vigilantes
|
The Windsor Vigilantes got a sterling performance from pitcher Roger Horne, but the Kingston Comets still prevailed, 4-3. Horne threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner was Luis Torres in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jaime Torres took the loss. The Comets improved to 33-34.
Kingston used a timely hit from Matt Oliver to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Comets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Oliver.
