The Owen Sound Waveriders defeated the Hamilton Mounties, 5-2, in Canadian action at Harbour Field. Owen Sound pitcher Anthony O'Halloran had a standout performance. Abraham Taylor recorded his 6th save for Owen Sound. Owen Sound has now won 6 straight.

Ron Hinton, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hinton contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Owen Sound up, 4-0.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," O'Halloran said.
