Bears Earn 4-3 Win Versus Architects
|
The Traverse City Bears had to overcome a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Jay Bryant to grab a narrow 4-3 win at The Den. Bryant went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Alberto Espinoza. He is now 5-3. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. With the victory, the Bears upped their record to 41-33.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Traverse City trailing 3-1, Sean Lane jumped on a 2-0 sinker from Emmett Dodman for a 3-run home run, sending the Bears to a walk-off win.
Lane called the triumph "a good team win."
