Sea Gulls Clip Eagles, 3-2
|
Duluth right fielder Doug Deschamps made his presence felt in the 3-2 Sea Gulls triumph over the Milwaukee Eagles. Deschamps was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning the save was Harry Gilroy. He's now cashed in 2 of 2 save opportunities. Duluth now has a 3-game win streak.
Deschamps had a timely hit for Duluth in the top of the eighth. With Milwaukee trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 3-2, Duluth.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Deschamps said after the game.
