Vigilantes Earn Late Win
|
The inspired effort of Kingston left fielder Miguel Santiago was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Windsor Vigilantes. Santiago hit 2 home runs. The Windsor winning streak has reached 3 games.
Windsor used the timely hitting of Manuel Zamora to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vigilantes on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Windsor manager Greg Erbisch.
