Vigilantes Deal Caribou 6-4 Loss
|
The Windsor Vigilantes defeated the Thunder Bay Caribou by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Manuel Zamora. Zamora was 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Vigilantes on the day. Cliff Simpson picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-5. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. Windsor raised its record to 44-39 with the win.
Windsor took a 6-4 lead on Craig Hargrove's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hargrove hit in the top of the seventh, left Thunder Bay pitcher José Árias visibly frustrated.
"Solid performance from our side," said Vigilantes manager Greg Erbisch.
