Vigilantes Beat Toronto, 2-1
|
Windsor left-hander Jason Sweeney helped his team edge Toronto by the score of 2-1. Sweeney kept the opposing lineup in check. Roger Horne snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 4-2 on the season. With the win, the Vigilantes hiked their record to 71-46.
Windsor won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With one out and Augusto González on the mound for Toronto, left fielder Dave Dodd hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Vigilantes fans to their feet.
In postgame comments, Dodd said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
