Mounties Suffer 5-2 Road Loss
The Owen Sound Waveriders picked up a win at Waveriders Ballpark, knocking off the Hamilton Mounties, 5-2. Starting pitcher Yi-xiao Liu played a key role in the triumph. Liu picked up the win for Owen Sound, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2. Ed Jenkins was credited with the save, his 26th in 31 tries.

The Waveriders got a big at-bat from catcher Guo-quiang Lee. For the game, Lee was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Owen Sound a 3-2 lead.
